St Jude's Youth Group is an initiative from World Youth Day and aimed at youth from Grade 6 upwards.

Youth Mass takes place at 6.30pm each Sunday. Young people have the opportunity to be readers, commentators, help out with the offertory, assist the musicians or with after-Mass refreshments.

The Youth Choir consists of youth as well as adults whose musical expertise assists the younger members. The choir meets for rehearsals every Monday from 6.30pm - 8.00pm. The group is slowly expanding with more singers and a greater variety of instrumentalists. Grade 3 and above welcome.

The leaders/seniors group (ages 15 years and upwards) commenced 12^th September 2008. The Junior Youth Group for the younger (ages Grade 6 and above) commenced 14^th November 2008.

Although activities are St Jude's based events, youth from parishes in the Knox Deanery are very welcome to attend. Activity nights gone by have included pizza nights, bowling, trivia nights, music, theatre sports to name just a few. Come along for a great time of fun, food, games and friends.

A concert performance organised for the community of St Jude's, featuring great
performances by the talented cast members of the St Jude's Youth Group and
the S.J. Youth Band.

A wonderful evening not just for parents of youth.

Youth Band

• Rehearsals for 2010: Wednesday 7.00pm to 8.30pm.

• Sunday Night at 6.30pm, St Judes Church. Where the young people are the main participants in the music, the readings, the offertory. If you, your child or your family can help out then please let me (Bronwyn) know.

New dates: Friday 30th to Saturday 31st July 2010.

Please note the change of date, the date of the camp has been moved due to unforeseen circumstances.

Those interested please fill out a permission form. Permission forms can be picked up from the Parish office, the church foyer or from Bronwyn directly. This is going to be a Fantastic two days!

IMPORTANT Message: We are still in need of a few parents to stay for the duration of the camp including staying the night. Those available please speak to Bronwyn.

Senior Youth Group Retreat

(for ages 14 and above)
Last year 11 young people from the senior Youth Group went on an overnight retreat in Lysterfield. As a group we had pizza for dinner, were presented with our Youth Group T-shirts, watched a video on the Friday night and went on a big walk on the Saturday morning. Due to the great success of the retreat, the centre has been booked again for 2010!
Date: Friday 10 December to Saturday 11 December 2010.
