Spiritual Direction

Spiritual direction invites one to listen reflectively to that which is deeper than words.

'The human soul is hungry for beauty; we seek it everywhere in landscape, music, art, clothes, furniture, gardening, companionship, love, religion, and in ourselves. When we experience the Beautiful, there is a wonderful sense of homecoming: we feel fully alive...' John O'Donohue

Spiritual Direction invites one to listen reflectively to that which is deeper than words. It is a process of helping you ‘notice' how God is present in your life.

Interested in Spiritual direction on a regular basis?

Last year 11 young people from the senior Youth Group went on an overnight retreat in Lysterfield. As a group we had pizza for dinner, were presented with our Youth Group T-shirts, watched a video on the Friday night and went on a big walk on the Saturday morning. Due to the great success of the retreat, the centre has been booked again for 2010!
Date: Friday 10 December to Saturday 11 December 2010.

I am aware that the above date is a long way off, but just so that you have it in your calendar.

Blessed Mary MacKillop Canonisation
21-3-canonisation-pg8-t

Pope Benedict XVI announced that Blessed Mary MacKillop would be canonised in Rome on Sunday 17 October this year.

Mary MacKillop - An Australian Like Us

While in Penola, Mary MacKillop met the Pastor of that vast district, Julian Edmund Tenison Woods (English priest, scholar and scientist). Vitally interested in education, he opened a school, but four years later he wrote to Mary in Portland, it ‘cannot be properly conducted until you come up yourself.' In 1866, therefore, Mary and Lexie set off by coach for Penola to join their other sister, Annie.
